EVERY now and then things just get away from you.
It’s like that with writing a blog and maintaining a website up.
Work and life have been busy lately and Micks Choice has had to come third.
So now I’ve got a whole bunch of films to review and, even as I write this on a Sunday morning, I’ve still got outstanding work that I should probably be doing instead.
So, as a result, the next nine reviews are going to be quick-fire, belted out with little or no research. It’s not how I’d prefer to do it, but such is life.
Bad Samaritan is a lot of fun. It’s a low-budget American horror/mystery featuring Dr Who David Tennant playing against type as an arrogant, rich guy whose home is targeted by a couple of amateur thieves.
What one of them finds in the guy’s home leads to a cat and mouse game with deadly consequences.
The acting is good, the scenario and motivations believable and there are plenty of good scares.
The only downsides are a poor music score and average ending. Otherwise, this is a bit of a hidden gem.
