BRAD Turner, the director of 2021 Canadian action-thriller Trigger Point claims he invisaged his film as the first instalment of a John Wick style trilogy.
A few problems here.
One, it’s just a slightly above average action movie with no memorable moments.
Two, Barry Pepper is an okay actor but doesn’t have the on-screen charisma or physical presence of Keanu Reeves.
Three, at just over 80 minutes long it doesn’t have the stature or pull with potential audiences, even action ones.
Finally, and most importantly, it’s made bugger-all money to date and is unlikely to make much more.
