More colours to this Evil

Colours of Evil: Red ★★★

AS YOU can tell by the title, the studio behind Polish thriller Colours of Evil: Red is hoping for a franchise.

And they’re off to a pretty good start with this twisting tale of a macabre murder with organised crime links.

A young girl woman’s naked body with her lips removed is found on a beach.

She is the daughter of a judge who teams up with a local prosecutor to hunt down the killer and bringing them into conflict with corrupt police and drug dealers.

Jakub Gierszał as Proecutor Bilski and Maja Ostaszewska as Judge Bogucka deliver good performances and mix of chemistry and tension.

While the film doesn’t offer any isn’t anything extraordinary it offers a strong basis for future instalments.

Watched on Netflix.
