Daisy gets the full Mendo

The Marsh King’s Daughter ★★★

WE haven’t seen “full Mendo” for a while.

So, it’s great to have Ben Mendelsohn playing the bad guy in the film adaptation of The Marsh King’s Daughter.

I’m not going to tell you much of the story here because there is an interesting twist at the end of the first act.

Suffice to say the drama is not only well written and acted but also has a strong structure with effortless transition between time periods told though minimal exposition.

Mendelsohn adds to his collection of offbeat and powerful characters while Daisy Ridley is very good as the female lead.

The locations are beautiful and there is a great music score.
